Just before the hour of twilight - and the glorious 'blue hour' - clouds were sailing across the sky at a fast clip, as the wind was buffeting us where we were standing on the roof terrace of a building. This is first of a series of three....see below for the other two photos I took later, as the sky's blue deepened into darkness. This photo was taken just before dusk, as I waited for Paris to put on her "evening gown and jewels" of twilight and night. :o)

Tenth "Postcard from Paris" for you Flickr friends. We were waiting outside for Paris to turn on her lights and turn this scene into a magic show. But in the meantime the sky was painting beauty with the clouds and the wind rushing by this amazing monument and the ancient village of Montmartre. It still retains its village atmosphere, and has the distinction of being situated on Paris's tallest hill. Une dixieme "Carte Postale de Paris" pour vous, amis Flickrs. Nous attendions l'heure de l'enchantement quand Paris devient toute illuminee.....et le ciel nous offrait un beau tableau, avec ses nuages porte's par le vent dans cet encadrage merveilleux d'un grand monument entoure' par cet ancien village de Montmartre. Il retient son atmosphere de village et a la distinction d'etre situe' sur la colline la plus haute de Paris. Histoire et descriptions de cette scene sont postes' avec les photos ci-dessous.
